Nothin' worse than trying to date two girls at once, only to them meet and find out that you're "cheating,"right? While I don't think Lexie Grey has really defined things with Alex and started out saying she didn't expect any commitment, I don't think she was expecting this. Alex Karev breaks the rules to let Ava sit in on a surgery he's helping perform. She just so happens to sit next to Lexie Grey, who he's been sleeping with also. She starts up a convo with Lexie and spills the beans about being there to see her "boyfriend," Alex. Alex is watching the observation deck and sees the two talking, obviously hoping it's not about him. Lexie leaves the situation quite upset. Obviously she wasn't ready to share Alex with another woman, even if they never technically said they were dating exclusively, she pretty much assumed as much. . . and you know what they say about people who assume! She gets away from that scene as fast as she can and goes to talk to a patient that hit on her earlier (played by Seth Green). The patient had a tumor removed from his neck leaving an artery very vulnerable. He had tried to ask her out, but she says she was seeing someone. She confides in her patient that maybe the guy she thought was her boyfriend is a jerk. As some friendly banter ensues and giggles arise, the artery bursts from his neck and Lexie is stuck with her hand in his artery with blood all over the place. Nice, huh? And this is how they leave us hanging til part 2 of the episode. Sucks doesn't it?
