Of course Lexie Grey would be the only one to believe Cristina Yang that they wear costumes on Halloween. When will she actually catch on. Cristina Yang actually has her interns on a tight leash answering to numbers instead of their names. Go new Nazi. Lexie tries to please everyone, but sometimes you just can't. She gets belittled by a patient for not taking her job seriously in wearing a costume, but George O'Malley is there to tell the patient what needs to be said.
I just about fell off my chair when Ava came back to the hospital to see Alex Karev. Alex evidently hasn't feel the pull to try and chaser her and break up a marriage when a child is involved, but she is being rather forward. They have a rush and tumble into bed, in an on-call room, but even with Ava trying to talk and work things out, they surely didn't think things out much. She kept trying to talk and he just kept going after her physically. This doesn't bode well for Ava if she's expecting more from Alex - especially with his track record. She is married, you know. Of course when it's all over, he gets to busy to talk to her and she just leaves - leaving things just as open-ended as they began.
While Alex was busy in the on-call room with Ava, Norman, the really old intern passes out. I guess I understand a little bit more of why he was on the show. I knew he couldn't have made it with this bunch, but it was really sweet for him to have a good reason. His wife had encouraged him to pursue medicine, though he never really felt he was good at it. Being in the hospital when he had a medical emergency saved his life. At least someone on the show respects his wife.
Yay for Meredith Grey! Finally I'm really excited for her as she is taking her first step to getting to where she needs to be to for Derek. After carrying them around with her all day, she laid her mother's ashes to rest in the scrub sink. It was exactly the way I know her mom would have wanted to go( like I really know her, right?). She let the Chief (Richard Webber) help her, too. Chief really loved her mother (even if she was "the other woman") and it 's good to see Meredith letting him into her life a little. She fought it for a second, but she came around. I really, really want Meredith to be able to get to where she needs to be to make it work with Derek. You just hate to see two people who are otherwise really good for each other get hung up on things that won't ultimately matter. I am really nervous though because Mark Sloan put Derek Shepard's name back on the market to the nursing staff in this episode. What if he meets someone? I guess it could be good because it might help Meredith to get her act together. What if he meets someone better though? I don't want to have to deal with Cristina and Meredith both losing their perfect men. That's too harsh. |
