The Isobel Stevens - Callie Torres Showdown

greys cafeteria

Izzie, Izzie, Izzie, what ever will we do with you. I was laughing, but not with you this week-at you. The whole hospital was rallying, taking bets, the whole nine yards in anticipation for the Callie-Izzie showdown in the cafeteria. I know I wanted to hit Isobel Stevens right in her pretty little face. Such a joke, so frustrating for me. Even if she should have, I didn't think Callie Torres would really come in and fight Izzie in the cafeteria. Then with everyone watching, Callie arrives to a whole scene ready for a fight and I felt the pain with her as she had to just walk away again. How could something as simple as "we need to talk" get blown so far out of proportion. Why can't anything go right for Callie? She was so together last season. I thought everything was going so well. How is it that everything is so not going her way this season. She is not doing well as the chief resident, her and George are not going to make it and then Izzie just keeps making things worse. Silly, silly, annoying Izzie who can't get her act together since she lost her man. And even worse, what is George doing during all of this. He's not exactly stepping up, more like blending into the sidelines to let the girls at eachother.

George and Callie finally talk at home. The agree to let the marriage go. Callie doesn't need to be with someone that doesn't want to be with her. I knew Callie couldn't really forgive him. It has to be driving her absolutely crazy. Now I want her to go back to Sloan and just have a good time. Sounds better than the hell she's being dragged through. And George, what is he doing trying to stand between two women. Who would have ever thought that nice guy, George O'Malley, in Season 1 would end up where he is now. I'm starting to get frustrated because I really think that he and Callie are a better match and that they could be so happy together. I just don't see it with George and Izzie. Can that really work. Alex is right to get upset at Izzie about all this. George just isn't for her. If only Alex could get his act together, maybe Izzie and Alex could have worked out instead. All this triangulating is making me dizzy. These guys are all getting in over their heads.

McDreamy Is Such a Tease!

derek shepard

I know that you are McDreamy and I know you deserve McMore than this, but this was just mean. Derek Shepard gets all excited and invites Meredith Grey on a trip for "48 hours of sex." Meredith is excited and brags about it to Cristina Yang, but then later Derek changes his mind and says he wants more - I know he deserves more, but I just wanted more time before they started to grow apart again. I don't know what to think anymore. Should they be together, should they not? I want them to be together because I think that when they are together, they are really good for eachother. Then again, it's been a while and I'm ready for it to go to the next level like Derek, but Meredith is just not ready. For any of us who have known people like this, it's just really sad. I'm afraid they are going to really break up in the end, not because they aren't perfect for eachother, but just because the timing is off. If only Meredith was a little more ready and Derek wasn't sooo ready, it would work. Please work. . . for us.

Old Guy as Intern-Seriously?

greys old intern

All I've got to say is they had better have a good reason to keep this old guy on the show. He drives me nuts! Talks way too much to the patients, no backbone, he is not built for this job. He pretty much wastes Meredith Grey's whole day because he read the room number wrong. They walk into a patient's room to deliver the news that she has terminal cancer. The patient is completely shocked and the old guy intern starts getting innappropriately emotional in front of the patient. After it all is said and done, they realize their mistake, but the patient is already gone. By the time they get ahold of her she's made major life changes and ends up suing the hospital for all the hardship. So then they tell the real patient the news and it goes really awfully, too. He just can't hack the job. How could you tell someone they are going to die. . . and be wrong. What drama! I'd like to see him go, he's just not going to make it on this show. He's not strong enough. (Good for the lady who was falsely told she was going to die-she'll settle nicely with the hospital) But what are we going to do with this guy, huh?

Richard Webber Confronts Adele

chief and adelle

I cannot even begin to tell you how bad I wanted to see the Chief (Richard Webber) give Adele a piece of his mind. Why does he just take it from her all the time. Chief's neice who has been like a daughter to them comes into the hospital for cancer testing. She has evidently been sick her whole life, been through chemo before and really struggled through a lot. Adele and her sister are really pushing hard for chemotherapy and another long process of getting well again. The teenage neice says she's just tired of fighting it. She wants to enjoy her life, not be sick for the rest of her life. Richard is caught inbetween. He wants to respect his neice's wishes as a doctor, but as a caring Uncle he doesn't want to let go. He kind of stands up to her in the end when he honors his niece's wishes, but Adele holds it against him. I just could not believe that she would be so harsh and blame him for his niece's decision. What a horrible spot he was put in in this episode. I would have had a really hard time dealing with the issue of saving someone I loved or respecting their choice to die. Tough times on Grey's Anatomy this week!
