Derek Shepard is in surgery, as usual, when he gets placed in a very precarious position. The computer crashes mid-surgery and he is left "blind," unable to see where the probe is in the woman's brain. The computer tech is five hours away, but (ironically) Rose, the hot nurse he is noticing, has taken some classes in the area. She tries to fix it, but her hands are too shaky. Derek help her with his steady hands and after remembering to push the restart button, the computer is back up and running. After surgery, Derek talks with Rose, thanks her for saving the day, and they kiss (NOOOOOOOO!). I just hate to see it.

Later, Meredith Grey finally works up the courage to tell him that she doesn't want him to date other people. (Too bad it appears to be too late, already:() She refuses to let him respond until the next day. She's so proud of herself for actually working up the nerve to say it, that she doesn't want Derek to "ruin it." I fear for the worst-they are so not going to make it, but they'll get back together eventually, right??? Meanwhile, Rose appears to have earned a spot with McDreamy. But will he ever be able to love her like he's loved Meredith ?
