Reportedly, Isaiah Washington used a homophobic slur on the set of Grey's Anatomy during the filming of Season 3. Evidently Isaiah was waiting for the other actors who were getting ready for filming and after waiting for some time, Patrick asked that he wait longer for Ellen Pompeo to arrive. Isaiah said, "Well, I don't need Ellen. I can to act." The argument escalated and he admits using the slur, but the word was not aimed at Knight at all. Patrick was very upset and the two men got into quite an altercation over it. T.R. Knight, who is a homosexual, was offended by the remark, but Washington says that T.R. was not present when it was said and that T.R. was just stirring up controversy and creating a negative work environment-to win a raise and bigger role for himself. Still Isaiah was fired and will not return for the next season. He feels that he was wrongfully fired and that Knight should have been fired instead.  Katerine Heigl who is very close to T.R. said of Washington, "I'm going to be honest, he just shouldn't speak in public."  She later forgave him for the incident but stands by T.R. in the whole thing.

After the incident with Isaiah Washington, T.R. Knight had the courage to tell the world about his sexuality. "I feel I've learned so much this past year, so, I'm grateful for that, so yeah, that changes you," T.R. says on the Ellen Degeneres Show after coming out last October. "Everyone has their own path. You just have to respect that. . .I don't think it's right to force that. It's impossible to know. There's a lot of soul searching you have to do." Either way, we still love our George!

T.R. Knight was later spotted at the 16th Annual Elton John Aids Foundation Academy Awards Viewing party with a boyfriend in tow. The two were holding hands at their table. He was with Mark Corneisen, last years Matthew Point Scholar, according to him in a video. The question is, will we be seeing more of these two together?
