Justin Chambers was born on July 11, 1970 in Springfield, Ohio. He has a twin brother named Jason. Justin was "discovered" in Paris by a modeling scout and went on to have a Calvin Klein fragrance campaign. He modeled for years throughout Europe, Japan and the United States for Calvin Klein, Armani, and Dolce and Gabbana (to name a few). He then went on to study acting for 4 years at H.B. Studios. He landed his first major acting role in a music video for Dave Matthews Band's hit "Ants Marching" in 1994.

He was married in 1993 to Keisha, a former model agency broker. They have five children: Isabella born in 1997, twins Maya and Kaila in 1999, Eva in 2001 and Jackson born in 2002. The family just recently moved from a suburb outside of NY to live in Los Angeles, California (where he is currently filming for Grey's Anatomy.
